This is what BP says:

Recent media reports have suggested that individuals involved in the clean up operation have been prohibited from speaking to the media and this is simply untrue. BP has not and will not prevent anyone working in the clean up operation from sharing his or her own experiences or opinions.

This is what they do:

And once again a corporation says one thing and means another. Nothing in the CEO’s statement says that they won’t stop the media from talking to workers, they simply say they will not stop workers from talking to the media.

I’d like to see the smirk on the PR thug’s face right now.
